The 3 day FAW First Aid at Work course is designed to enable people designated as a workplace First Aider to carry out appropriate First Aid should an emergency situation occur at work.
At the end of the course the candidate will be able to manage a casualty who is injured at work, or suffers from a serious illness, while waiting for more qualified medical help to arrive. Candidates will be aware of the legal requirements of First Aid at Work, record any treatments given and accidents within the workplace.
The course content meets the requirements of the Health and Safety (First Aid) Regulations 1981.
This course has a minimum of 18 hours guided teaching time as required by the HSE. This time does not include breaks. If the full course contact time is not completed we may not be able to issue the First Aid at Work Certificate.
