Emergency First Aid at Work Course

Emergency First Aid at Work is a 1-day course training course. This course can only be offered by HSE approved training organisations such as Peak Skills and is designed for small to medium sized businesses, in schools or those with a slightly lower element of risk. The course content is dictated by the HSE and includes:


  • The role of a First Aider
  • Handling an emergency safely
  • Basic life support including cardiopulmonary resuscitation
  • Dealing with wounds or bleeding
  • Dealing with seizures and choking
  • Provision of appropriate first aid for minor injuries

The Emergency First Aid at Work qualification is valid for three years at which point it will need to be retaken.

The HSE 'strongly recommends' that all those holding an Emergency First Aid at Work certificate take an Annual Update

We deliver this course on a regular basis in our venues in Sevenoaks and Tunbridge Wells.

We also deliver this course as an 'in-house' course throughout Kent, Surrey, Sussex and London, where we come to your business premises. Our prices are very competitive and include workbooks and certificates. There are no hidden extras, no mileage or VAT payable, VAT is included. If you do not have suitable premises but at least ten members of staff to train we can arrange a venue local to you for an extra charge.

The Emergency First Aid at Work qualification lasts for 3 years.
