First Aid Courses We Offer for the Workplace

Peak Skills offer the following courses which comply with legislation governing First Aid in the workplace. 

1. The First Aid at Work Course.

This is a 3 day course and gives a full First Aid at Work qualification.

2. The Emergency First Aid at Work Course.

This course is delivered over 6 hours and enables the individual to assist a fully qualified first aider, or act as first aider in smaller, low risk companies.

3. The AED or Defibrillator Users Course.

This 2 hour training can be delivered to any candidate who has a current EFAW certificate and has kept up the annual updates each year. Training is delivered in groups of up to 12, those wanting to train more can have the training delivered in two hour slots throughout the day.

4. Skills Update.

The HSE is "strongly recommending' that all First Aiders now undertake an Annual Update of their First Aid training. This can be delivered in your Kent venue over a three hour period. We offer a skills update for £100 for 12 candidates on any full EFAW course that is purchased. The updating candidates join the course at 11.30 and complete the practical element of the course until about 2.30pm. Please ask for details when booking your course.

5.  Paediatric First Aid 6 or 12 hours

6. Appointed Persons.

This is now a very basic qualification teaching you how to call an ambulance and liaise with medical personnel and comply with record keeping. Appointed persons are not recognised as first aiders under the HSE guidelines
