Staff in schools may decide to undertake one of several First Aid courses, depending on the area in which they work.
All of the above courses can be delivered at your school if you have a number of people to train together. It will be more cost effective for the training to be held 'in house' at your workplace and most schools have have a suitable room. Please click here to go to our 'in-house' booking page for more information.
If you would like us to create a bespoke First Aid course for your particular requirements please email office@peakskills.co.uk or call us on 07897 404 300 .
How do the Health and Safety (First-Aid) Regulations relate to first-aid provision in schools?
“A really informative course, very useful for my job.”
Employers are responsible for the provision of appropriate first-aid equipment, facilities and first-aid personnel in respect of their employees – this includes schools as they are workplaces.
However, you may be surprised to learn that the Regulations do not require employers to provide first aid for anyone else. Nevertheless, HSE strongly encourages employers to consider non-employees i.e. children when carrying out their first-aid needs assessment and to make provision for them.
